Volunteer Membership Application - Join Our Team!
If you want to help your friends, neighbors, and community then joining the volunteer fire company is a great way. We take pride in our members on their professionalism to continue our good reputation within our community. Our fire company has been serving with volunteers since 1959. If you get satisfaction from helping others and doing a job well done, maybe joining our team is the right thing for you. Our members are like a family and we do many family-oriented events a year. All of our required training and equipment is provided to you at no cost. There are many ways you can volunteer! Check them out below:
Social Member: Work functions such as weekly bingo, monthly breakfast, and our annual carnival. There are many other things to do in this category as well.
Ladies Auxiliary: Provide meals and drinks to firefighters at long-duration emergency calls. Work at their functions such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Basket Bingo and carnival.
Fire Police: Directing traffic at emergency calls. This includes fires, accidents, and storm damage such as trees or power lines down.
Firefighter: This includes going to fires, car accidents, power lines & trees down from storms, search and rescues and many other types of emergencies. There are many tasks that you can do from interior firefighting to driver/pump operator.
Junior Firefighter: This applies for ages 14 thru 17. This includes going to fires, car accidents, power lines & trees down from storms, search and rescues and many other types of emergencies. While you can not go into a burning building, you can start your training at a young age and be ready for interior firefighting at the age of 18. There are many things you can do! Paid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): This requires multiple paid shifts at the fire company and going on medical calls, fires, and car accident emergency calls. Please see the paid application on the "Ambulance" page.
Junior Volunteer Ambulance Staff: Teenagers between ages 16 and 17 can be a volunteer ambulance member. They are permitted to go through EMT schooling at this age and can respond to emergency calls, non-emergency calls and functions within the organization. Look over the child labor laws to see what you can do!
